Had a van that got to where it was doing that with mostly every day driving, start good one time, next hit starter nothing. I got to carying a jump start with me as was doing that so much. The battery had been out and tested good. When it would do nothing put the jump on and as soon as I could get from battery to switch it would be running. Fought that quite a while. Gave up and bought new battery even the old one was testing good, no more problems until it was totaled. Never did figure it out but battery that was having the problem tested as good as a new one. That was with new cable ends.
