That seems late for a 3500. I was under the impression that Ford discontinued those before that. But the numbers don't lie so... They went to a 3550 at some point which had a heavier rear end with double reduction rear end gears and wet brakes. Your tractor should have a 175 ci diesel and dry outboard brakes. It is a close sister to a 3000 which was the ag model of that series. That 6x4 transmission is fairly common, is not German built and was used in many industrial and utility models. Any good hytrans or UTF oil that meets Ford 134D specs (look on the label) will work for everything on the tractor except the engine - transmission, rear end, loader, hoe, even the power steering. Most of us use a good generic oil from Fleet Farm, Tractor Supply, Walmart, etc. This site has a very good Ford board. Bunch of knowledgeable guys there that can help you if you need it.
