: Bob it sounds like the coil you can mount an outside coil and fix the problem. You have to drill a small hole in mag case to run a wire from points to neg. side of coil then from key switch

: Randy Your local CaseIH dealer may be able to get a replacement coil for you, or there are reputable folks out there who recondition mags, if you prefer not to cob it back to running condition.
