Tractors and the old trucks that did not have synchromesh transmissions. My brother and I learned to double clutch shifting those old trucks when we were about twelve. I am amused when some youngster proudly announces that they can drive a "stick". They have no idea how far driving a "stick" has come. Maybe they don't need to know, maybe it is just something we oldsters can savor.
