My Mahindra is built by TYM with a Daedong (Kioti in the US) engine. Sounds mostly like a diesel but no smell, except a little at cold startup. It's been a great little tractor, no issue in almost 3 yrs. that I've had it. In this country we tend to forget, or not even know, that many foreign manufacturers have been making tractors and farm machinery for many, many years and doing a good job of it. Do an internet search of some and you might be surprised at how many years they've been doing it and how large some of them really are.
