So? I had a CDL with endorsements for a number of years. Doesn't make me an expert in laws. The OP said "lane change", now he's amplifying that she was merging into traffic. In both cases the vehicle moving to another lane or merging has to yield! Just turning your signal on doesn't "give you the right of way"! I've never been in situation where merging traffic has the right of way! If you actually think and drive that way you are part of the reason that the trucking laws have changed so much over the years and give truckers a bad name!! Just because you are driving a bigger unit than a smart car or motor cycle doesn't give you the right of way! No wonder you hate cops so much! They write you tickets for driving like that! Because you have a CDL and think you own the road! hate to tell you this but a guy with a horse and buggy has JUST AS MUCH RIGHT TO BE ON THE ROAD AS LONG AS THEY ARE LEGAL Want to know the laws? Basic laws for operating a motor vehicle is the same for large and small vehicles as far as speed limits, lane changes, merging, passing and any other normal operating task!
Now don't get me wrong. I don't like over bearing cops on a power trip any more than anyone else. But when they are simply doing their job I have the utmost respect for them.
