Several years ago I had a County Mountie blast through a stop sign on a side road entering a major red-line road. I had to do some very serious braking to prevent a collision. Had I not been wearing a seat belt, I would have been forced against the steering wheel, and my passenger against the windshield. He merely went on his way, with no apology or enquiry whether myself or my passenger were OK. I thought seriously about reporting the incident to the High Sherriff, but did not. What would the cop have done if I was the one who blew through the stop sign?
