I have a 01 with 179,000 on it, engine was replaced at about 60,000. Old engine had the noisy piston slap. I stopped at two different dealerships and looked at a couple used ones with lower miles. First place I stopped the salesman told me that most people that have the HSs put a lot of miles on them, thought he was just talking, next place was told the same thing. No problems with mine other than the engine noise. New engine is still quiet. I sometimes think that Michigan counties get a kickback on salt they buy the way they put it on the roads. Mine is rusting out around the rocker panels and the doors but looks like I'll be keeping it for another year anyway.
