Around 1970 I was in an Animal Science class at the U of MN...had to go to a cattle feeders presentation at the Rosemount Experiment Station. Researcher reported on his feeding project. Fed feeders to market weight on three levels of feed...pounds of feed per day. Amazingly, the group that got fewer pounds of feed per day as the study went along- did not do so well! Increasing pounds of feed per day did well. How many research dollars were tied up for months on that stupid plan?
