A few years ago I bought a B&S Intek engine from Small Engine Warehouse. I needed a couple of parts and typed into B&S's Web site the model number that was stamped on it, but B&S say they never made an engine with that model number (though their fact sheet on how to interpret model numbers suggests that it could be a valid combination of options). Looking through the parts manuals for Intek engines with the same displacement, I found that my engine seems to have pieces from a couple of different models. Anyway, I eventually found the parts numbers for the stuff I needed but I wanted to warn people that if you buy a "surplus" B&S engine you may be in for a surprise when you try to locate parts!
