John, I am afraid no one is going to know exactly what you are looking for. I have a SMTA with a mid mount mower and could probably answer your questions but have no idea what you are asking. First thing you need to tell us is the MODEL of the mower. Don't know? That is what pictures are good for. Then be more specific about missing parts. The mid mount mower of that era that I am familiar with does not have a lot of loose parts unless it was partially disassembled. If it was, maybe it was non functioning and he was trying to repair it? Mine is a 115 mower and the only loose part I can think of is the gear that mounts on the PTO shaft and the chain that runs from that gear to the drive shaft gear mounted on the draw bar. I keep both in the baler toolbox, maybe look in Dad's other hay equipment and see did he do similar. Otherwise, get out your phone and shoot us some pics.
