In 1973 the paving contractor my dad hauled asphalt for had a batch plant at the Bazaar cattle pens on the turnpike. He had radiator problems on his dump truck. We took the repaired radiator back and I helped him install it. When we were done he went back to work and I drove the pickup home. 70 miles home, 14 years old with a restricted license.
