Dan, A 20 hp kohler what it came with. New one have a 25 hp kohler. This is my second Terramite. Got tired of transporting the one backhoe between two properties. Previous owner put a 20 hp Honda on it.
My first terramite has 1750 hours on the kohler. Doesn't use a drop of oil. Change oil every 60 hours and only run them 2/3 full speed.
Uses about a gallon or less of gas per hour.
