Indiana is celebrating 200 years as a state, 1816-2016. To celebrate they are doing a "Torch" run through all of the Counties. Friday was Pulaski Counties turn. I was asked to pull a "hay" wagon, (turned into a people mover, for our local tractor show). I was to be the last leg on the journey. Then comes the snafu, out of time, running late for the hand off to next County. So instead of pulling wagon , the torchbearer rode the fender about a mile (instead of the 3 miles), then she rode in a car the rest of the way. Nice lady, carrying the torch in honor of her late father. So much for my 15 minutes of fame. joe

For several years I had been driving by a farm house on the west side of Indianapolis that had a John Deere combine parked in high weeds in a lot behind the house. The gentleman no longer farmed because the entire area was developed with housing and light industry. I had stopped several times and knocked on the door but no one would answer.
