Wasn't it Rob Lowe that woke up with no clothes in the bed of some stranger's house surrounded by cops pointing their guns at him? That would be one way that I could think of how not to wake up. With your girlfriend in your arms, opening your eyes to see her husband standing there with a loaded .44 would be another. With your dog doing its duty on your bedroom rug because you overslept and it couldn't hold it would be another. How about waking up on an airplane looking out a window and seeing it doing a steep corkscrew downward through the clouds? On the Titanic might not have been how to wake up.
Jon, sometimes we all wake up in ways that we wish we hadn't. I woke up in jail a couple of times and they didn't give me back my jug before I left. It happens.
