Moral and legal certainly isn't the same. I have been selling one of my hobbies down a bit over the last 4-5 years and it's been a learning experience. In retrospect it is best to wait on a buyer who cant wait to haul it away. Otherwise experience has taught me that if the item takes up enough space to aggravate then set a definite time table. Small items depends on your ability to keep track of who owns what. How long I would wait depends on how much was paid down? A small deposit is certainly different deal than having half the money or more in pocket. For 10% I wouldn't wait over a few months. If I had half maybe 3-4 months?? I dont know, depends on if the guy returns calls or has placed you on the ignore list.
