Many, many years ago I worked as a field engineer supporting software on mid-range computers. I wasn't a programmer, but I diagnosed failures and assisted clients in getting their software issues resolved. I carried a six inch adjustable wrench (Crescent wrench) in my briefcase. Many times, after the problem was resolved, I'd pull my wrench out of my briefcase and tell them that the software just needed a little adjusting.
On one of my many trips, I flew into Wisconsin, and after the system was fixed, I attempted to fly out of the airport in Madison, WI. The security guys in the airport confiscated my wrench and told me not to bring any more weapons into their airport again. I never did get my wrench back.
