Do not butcher a nice truck like that by trying to put the cab on a different frame or that deisel. Fix it and use, if engine needs replaced replace with as simular as can be and that would be the 292. At shows if the vehical has been butchered I just walk past without paying any atention to it. I used to belong to a vintage car club that folded when too many members passed on and the younger members with young familys kids activities took too much time something had to drop. I don't go to shows anymore because 90%+ are butchered-wrecked trying to make something that looks like h.
