If no real answers, 30w has the viscosity to be the primo of recommended viscosities for older equipment over the years. Sometimes I get tired of seeing 30 every time I look at a chart, but look at the vis. vs temp. and it fits most applications. In cold climates probably 20 in the winter (we ran 20 in S. TX.), or go to a milti vis. I was just reading today about hydraulic oil specs and your hydraulics need to run them for numerous reasons. You shouldn't need the fancy stuff available today, just plain old hyd. oil.
