Actually, the RR plants were naturally occurring. Some plants were resistant to that herbicide, the gene that allowed that was determined and has been used with other species of plant. But the original was naturally occurring. Same with the bT resistance, none of these genes are man made, they are just transplanted across species.
IF we could singularize the gene that makes Holsteins black and white (yes there are other colors of Holsteins, just play along), and we probably have, we COULD transplant that into a human embryo and they would have some really interesting built-in tattoos!
