Read an article the other day that claims the sugar industry started putting a lot of pressure on the nutritional "science" people about 50-60 years ago to blame fat for certain health problems instead of sugar . Eggs, butter and anything else dairy was a sure way to an early grave for 40 years, then they were okay for a few years and now they are no good again. Oh yeah, must be the sugar industry got sick of paying off the nutritionists because sugar is the new "gonna kill you before you are 30" bugaboo lately. Of course every bite of beef, pork or mutton you swallow is gonna take 10 years off your life, too. My diet, according to all of the "experts" should have killed me off about 40 years before I was born.
