If I was you I'd rig a tow point on my rake and tow the tedder behind the rake to the field. A rake/tedder combo is better than not having a rake or tedder, but no where near as good as having a rake and a tedder. I own a Kuhn 3pt combo and it's just a pain to use, but better than nothing. Frail and easily broken too. I'd get a good rake and a decent tow type tedder and forget the combo idea. You can tow both behind your tractor (or haybine since most people ted ASAP after mowing) and save yourself a lot of headaches.
