Most food chains will over compensate you if you file a complaint. One of my sons sent an email complaining about something at a McDonalds about 10 years ago. The coupons they sent him were astounding. A short time later I had a bucket of ice cream I bought that had chunks of Plexiglas, about 1/8 inch thick in it. I immediately called the producer and got ask the lot number so they could recall that batch. They ask me to let it melt and to find if there were more than the one piece I had found. They sent a mailer to me so I could send the several pieces I found after let the ice cream melt and coupons for about 50 dollars worth of stuff. The only thing I was worried about was a kid choking on something. I wasn't worried about a bucket of ice cream! About a month later I got a letter thanking me for alerting them and they told me that a shield had broken on the line cause the Plexiglas pieces to fall into the ice cream.
The short changing could have been accidental but then how many people does she serve in a shift? She does that to everyone and she could be pocketing an extra what? 4 maybe 5 bucks an hour? And most people blowing it off cause it's only 50 cents or so.
