Why only 1 bid on the tractors? Owners bidding is usually not allowed at auctions. What's to stop the owner from running up the price? Was there a reserve? Musta been, heck I would of bought them all for a few dollars each. A few things I've seen and know about auctions. The wife and I collect antiques and other things of interest. Some weeks we go to several auctions. First the jersey produce auction. If the farmer can't make back any money he gives all the veggies to our church to distribute. If he gives away the veggies at least we give the basket back. If he sells for less than the basket cost him he really loses. Second my buddy sold livestock. I would go with him and never speak to him at the auction, total strangers. I knew what each cow needed to bring. If it didn't meet his price I would buy them back. He'd rather loose gas money and a few bucks on commission not hundreds for a poor sale.
