As to your question. With Case the C in the models is a suffix that indicates it is a row crop tractor. VAC, SC OR DC, or in the older models RC, and the CC. The standard treads will have a "squatty" stance and fixed tread width. VA, S, D, LA, and older models R, C, and L.
Now there was a model series just before the VA series called the V series. IE a V and VC. There may have been some other variations in the V series as there was in the others. Easy way to tell the difference between a VC and a VAC is the VC will have a continental flathead engine and the VAC will have a valve in head Case built engine.
