The hyd pump is down in front of the light switch, front of the brake pedals. A xx1 model tractor should have the better rotary pump, not the older vane pump. They can loose prime and need to reprise them.
The hyd plate which has different routing for hyd bits is under the seat. There are several different designs on this, one way one valve, to two two way valves. A picture would sure help of where the hoses and levers come out.
If it is so modified that the three point controls are removed, it would just be wild guessing as to what is really going on, pics would really help.
