3rd from last picture, can't read the display board but think the 1935 Allis Model U held the land speed record for a farm tractor from 1935 till 2013. One of that model tractor was fitted with a special high speed road gear and Allis worked with Firestone and made a special tire similar to an airplane tire that was mounted on the rears. Hired a race driver to drive the tractor to 64-65 mph. Firestone trying to convince farmers to buy rubber tractor tires instead of steel wheels at the time. The tractor may have raced at Indy and other Fairs around Midwest. Imagine the crowds those events must have attracted.
