So I'm moving things around today and rediscovered this newspaper clipping from a few years back:
"Gordonsville Town Police charged a man with public drunkenness Thursday evening after someone called to report an apparently drunken man riding a horse through the streets of town.
'One person I spoke to said he was going down the streets with the reins in one hand and a bottle of wine in the other' said Patrolman ****.
When **** spoke to the rider about 8 p.m. on Stonewall Avenue, the man told him he'd had five or six pints of wine, **** said.
After the Patrolman gave the man a breath test for alcohol, the rider was taken to Orange County jail, **** said.
The horse was released to the custody of the rider's brother, **** said."
