Just got back from the Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers Show, it was good, should be better tomorrow. Watched the big sawmill saw logs, run by a Corliss steam engine, all 116 years old and made in Minneapolis. It is unique because it has a shotgun feed, a steam cylinder with a 40+ foot stroke to power the carriage. So it kind of takes off like an aircraft carrier catapult. The saw is a bandsaw with about 6 foot wheels. Sorry I forgot to take my camera, I'l remember next year!
