Does anyone know what the going rate is for those people who buy up "obsolete" parts from dealers and repair shops? Years ago there were buyers who went to dealers and repair shops and bought up slow moving, obsolete parts for 5 cents on the dollar. Just wondering if that rate is still the same or has it gone up. At 5 cents on the dollar, the buyer stands a good chance of making a good profit if he knows where to sell the parts.
After a few years, a local repair shop realized that he just as well keep those parts and store them as sell them to the parts buyers. A few sales at retail prices and he was making money for himself.
