Andy, and Fred, for that matter, When someone gets a used tractor, particularly an old one, the first thing they want to do is to find out what in the world it is. Second, they have dreams of making it a parade tractor and therefore what color should it be. These questions are invariably the first asked, and usually by folks that don't have the advantage of reading these boards regularly so that they are already informed on the subject. Therefore, there is some repitition in the questions. However, there are also questions and answers that save a ton of money in maintenance costs to owners of tractors, both the naive and the pros. Asking a question is free. Sometimes the answer is worth the price, sometimes you get a bargain. I couln't have got my tractors into the shape they are now without the help of several of these folks (like Paul Fox) without blowing my budget. Ask a question rather than complain. See what happens. It's more fun having fun than complaining.
