I have the 46" Husq. that HAD the Kohler Courage 20, now in the dump with a cracked alum. crankcase and half a dozen of the bolts that held the two pieces of the CC together loose, at around 600 hours.....vibrated itself to death. It now has a nice, new, shiny BS V twin, compliments of ebay for about $550 and I have since put 100 hrs on it.
On the mower itself, great machine. I put ATV tires on it and I can mow my 30 degree pond banks easily (without slipping and sliding) and now he 2+ inch cracks in my place don't jar me off the seat. I added a couple of soft springs off the current edition of Cub Cadet riders and that plus less than 10# of air in the tires really makes for a back saving smooth ride.
One thing I really like about the 46 is that it only has 2 blades and the deck is shaped to favor the exhaust with a smooth, high, and wide discharge which makes cutting wet grass in the morning when it's cool a real pleasure....no clogging like on my 3 blade fabricated decks.
