Yah, Okay. I'm a bed-wetting pinko. But here goes. I agree with the "animal rights" people about calf-roping, steer wrestling, bronc riding, and bull riding. I don't ever want to see any of those four events again. I've had horses and cows (calves), off and on all of my life. Yanking a calf off its feet with a rope around its head and feet while it is in a paniced run just doesn't seem right to me. Twisting a steers head until he falls down doesn't seem like fun to me. A bucking strap around any animal doesn't seem like a good idea to me.
Barrels, poles, races, and even pulling events are interesting to me, but that other stuff just seems cruel to me.
