Everyone always brings up the "independent" pto thing with the AC's, but I know the work I do it is a definite advantage to be able to stop the pto and tractor with just one clutch, as when I brush hog and roto-till. The other advantage is the neutral position of the oil-cooled power director which is great for brushhogging. Being able to creep around trees, through heavy brush or grass, and slow down for turning without shifting gears or throttling back is a big plus. Running this new JD with a mower just makes me appreciate the Allis setup that much more. The only thing the JD has going for it is an air conditioned cab, power reverser and Epto. Now the 6070....that was a step back for AC in my opinion because it has independent pto but no power shift.....
