Sounds like you have a good dealership there. If I could find one, I might let them do my oil changes. Trouble is, I've yet to find a good one!
I think part of the problem is location. I live near the DFW metromess, which provides an unlimited number of potential customers. They don't feel the need to satisfy any of them! Think extreme greed and incompetence!
Just yesterday, they called my wife, told her the car was ready. Went to pick up her car from the dealer, air bag recall.
It has been sitting on their lot, in the sun, (thank God it didn't hail!) since April 20th.
We were told 3 weeks at the most!
She takes the rent car back, gets dropped off.
They again tried to sell an oil change, tire rotation, front end alignment, multi point inspection... No, no, no, you were told no extra charges for anything!
Waited 45 minutes for them to bring it up front.
It was filthy. They are supposed to wash every car that leaves. Offered to wash it but would take another hour.
I guess I'm being paranoid, but seen too many horror stories! I stay away from dealers at all cost! Only go to the parts department as a last resort!
