I wasnt at the garden for awhile,,when I got to it the potato vines were dying off.I wasnt sure if the potato beatles got to them while I was away. The onions were flopped down so I pulled them. While I was working at it,,here comes my neighbor from across the street,He is in his 80s. He saw me,and he rides over on his lawnmower. He says ,,good to see you back. The potatoes are fine,,,you planted early red norland,,they are done.I watched the plants while you were gone, picked the beatles off just like you were doing before you got sick,,You can dig potatoes now. I said why didnt you pick some stuff? He said,,its your garden why should I pick your stuff ,,or are you too lazy to pick it yourself? He laughed and said see you later,,,dont forget to stop in for coffee...and he drove off on his lawnmower. Hows that for a great neighbor???
