I like schaffers oil ,, but don't use it anymore ,, I think my 318 86 dodge enjoyed a long healthy life because of about 6 oil changes of that and havoline oil the balance of changes ,, and 5ooo mile filter and oil change intervals have to help.. my neighbor went full bore with amsoil about 25 yrs ago on his 318 85 dodge ,. no filter change needed for 50,000 miles I recall him saying ,./ he already had 50 k on the truck , by the time he had 90k the motor was worn out, needed needed overhaul ,,. mite of been from scremin pulling a trailer in 4wheel drive ,too , , but my 318 has endured worse treatment..
