Bob,
Think you might need to look at a service manual after putting down your spiked cool aid before you go digging for a pto drive on the right side of the 820 tractor. Yes, 70, 720, 730 pto drive lines are on the clutch side. For some reason, Mother Deere engineers decided to screw with your glazed mind and put the drive on the left side of the 80, 820, and 830. See service manual for 820, section 135. I will be glad to send you the front page of this section, but my skills in attaching a .pdf to this forum are far more lacking than my knowledge of the differences in a 720 and an 820 tractors. Those who think they know everything are particularly annoying to those of us who do.
