Don't you just hate it when the manufacturer makes you pay for their mistakes? CAT & JD are the champions for selling you parts to fix their problems. Other (smaller) manufacturers know they would lose business if they tried that, so they give away kits to fix their problems, as a good business practice that usually works for them. There are some small manufacturers that use more care and better design judgment so they don't have so many problems - but it's up to you to sort them out and decide what will be best for you. Then there are manufacturers that build pure junk and won't stand behind it at all - but they usually don't stay in business too long.
