That's about right. A 175 would be a 3 plow tractor and an average of 20 hp to pull 3 bottoms sounds about right. You would need 40+ hp to pull it up the hills and through the tough spots, but only 10 or so down hill and likely 20 or a bit more on the flats. Same for a bush hog mower, only in tough spots would it take more than 20hp to run it. You need the max hp ratings to get through the hard spots but wouldn't run it like that long term in most cases. And the power used on the ends and to travel is all in the average as well, that would bring down the average some too.
