Feel good legislation. It's not as if you can't just drive to any neighboring state and buy as much as you'd like. That being said, I'd rather see laws along this line occurring at a state level as opposed to a federal level. At a state level there is hope of reality affecting the laws, an example being Chicago's essential gun ban of some years ago. It made little to no difference to criminals but inconvenienced all law abiding people. There was a ban on gun shops within city limits that has been overturned now, however there are NO legally operating gun shops in Chicago at this time so don't let the propaganda tell you that this is the reason behind the rise in shootings this year.
