If you notice in my post I mentioned that I have 2 HF helmets. The first one that I got lasted less than 5 years or so and I had it hanging on the wall in a part of the shop that did not get much light; either from the ceiling (10') lights or the north facing window. The second, newer one, was kept on a shelf on it's side with the solar panel exposed to the window and it lasted about 10 years BUT it could have had improved batteries or......????? My take is that 'If God had meant for man to work with electrons He would have made them big to see.' :?
