Sounds like the idle circuit needs adjusting, the way I start is to set both the high and low (idle) side needles at 1 1/2 turns out from being lightly bottomed, this should be close enough to get it started and run. Once warm, screw in the idle adj needle slowly until a change is noticed or 'starving' occurs, then turn out (slowly) until it 'bogs' counting revolutions as you turn. Set at 1/2 way between the inner and outer mark. Then set throttle at the high position (taking care not to over-rev) and repeat the process on the high speed adj needle. For good measure I will usually go back and recheck the idle circuit again after setting the high side because sometimes the optimal setting will change slightly. Hope this helps, Dennis H.
