Was handling mesquite brush about four months ago. A thorn went clear through my leather glove and into my right pinky finger. The thorn did not break off as I pulled it out. The finger tip swelled up. I washed it with soap and water and that evening with alcohol. For the next several weeks I poured peroxide on it after my evening shower. Now four months later it healed, developed a callus tissue which is just now fading away.
