I get cut, scraped, and poked on regular occasion and all typically draw blood. When I first got married the wife would ask me every night how I hurt myself, and I usually didn't even know what she was talking about until she pointed it out.
I've been lucky and have yet to have anything become seriously infected. Like many it's a piece of clean rag, and some electricians tape to keep me going, and then worry about a 'proper' bandage later.
On the other hand Dad once got a small cut in the web between his index finger and thumb, while working on a machine at the landfill. They wound up having to do surgery and install a wick for it to drain after it became infected. Seems that's a really bad area for an injury as it's basically an open pocket under the skin for something to grow.
