When I was a DM for AC, I offered to cover for the dealer one cold winter day while he took care of other business away from the dealer business. Just before I was going to close up at 5:00, two guys came in looking for rod bearings for a KT Twin City tractor. They were from half way across the state, stopping at all former MM dealers for parts.
They had the part numbers and I looked up the numbers in the catalog and discovered that they were in the parts bin! Those guys were really excited to get those bearings. The dealer was excited that those bearing finally sold after laying in the parts bin so many years.
I was familiar with the KT's as two of my uncles had KT's and I had driven them sometimes. They were a real workhorse. The Twin City test farm used to just across the road from a farm that Dad rented when he first started farming , so we were familiar with those tractors.
