You have the same perfect 20/20 rear vision that many of us have. When I go to big car shows or even the flea market I will pick something up and look it over and as I am doing that I think "should I add this to my BIG pile of crap at home"? Going back to the bolt, I have bolts from a wheel barrow that I thought had a 16 thread. NOoooo it had a 14 thread. Bought new to complete the job.
