While I do not agree with everything Branstad has done it is better to have a good financial house over spending money that you do not have and that is what the DEMS do in just about 95% of the states they run.
As to how DHS handles child abuse cases. They usually are very proactive on reports of abuse. I have direct involvement in that process. Many of the foster children are abused and that is why they are in the foster system. My first wife and I were involved with the foster care system for over 20 years. 10 of these years where under Branstad's tenure. So give us facts not just political harping.
