North central TX. My house is partially underground. Poured concrete wall in the back against the cut without water-proofing it is about 12 ft high upper part of the house which is about 25 x 50 sits on top. I cored down to rock 6 holes 24 in in diamater along the wall filled with gravel, drilled through the wall into the holes and put in 2 inch pipe to relieve any whater pressure that might collect under the slab and behind the wall. I have an area 36 inches wide that runs along the wall. It is 18 inches below the lower floors with a floor drain in it. I saw no water drain from the pipes for 40 years. for the last 2 weeks there has been a steady flow of water from all 6 pipes.
