Were you wanting to go as new as possible? For Deere, stay away from the 6x20 tractors and small frame 7x20 tractors. 5x20 and 5x25 are good tractors. Large frame 7x20 are good as well. The 30 series(2007-2012) are pretty good tractors, but some early 7x30 small frame tractors had some PowrQuad issues. Any letter series Deere(I.E-5085M 6105R, etc.) has too many emissions controls for my liking. Way too many electronics. They have dang computers to run the lights. Just completely nuts. Some later 30 series may also have a computer to run lights as well.
If you really want a bullet proof tractor, buy ANY Deere 10 series. Some of the best tractors ever built by any manf. They're old enough to not have anything in the way of emissions controls. They still use pencil injectors. The cabs are very nice. They have a lot of creature comforts while not being completely out of control on the electronics side of things.
On the Kubota side, you can't really go wrong with any of it. Anything up until tier 4A is likely OK. I'm a Kubota guy, but don't know a lot about the later stuff.
